Today, Google Cloud announced the appointment of Shaymaa Nabeel Al-Terkait as Country Manager, Kuwait at Google Cloud. 

Shaymaa will be responsible for leading Google Cloud’s strategy and presence in the Kuwaiti market. In her new role, Shaymaa will lead the strategic digital transformation alliance with the Government of Kuwait, announced earlier this year, that will oversee the digitization of all government services in the country. Additionally, Shaymaa will focus on scaling Google Cloud’s Kuwaiti customer base across public and private sectors, already building on the strong local momentum with recent customers like Zain Kuwait and Al Shaya Group. 

Shaymaa Al-Terkait is a technology executive who brings over 18 years of experience in the digital transformation field. She previously held leadership positions at Microsoft, the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS), and more recently was appointed as a board member at the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) in Kuwait. Shaymaa also spearheaded several strategic and national digital transformation initiatives as Information Technology Consultant to the Director General at PIFSS and to the Government of Kuwait.

Additionally, Shaymaa served on the board of directors of Wafra Real Estate (WRE), and Al-Rawdatain Water Bottling Company, and is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and mentoring young women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Shaymaa holds a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from University College of Bahrain and a Masters degree in Business Administration from London Business School.
